Earlier this year Microsoft announced their plan to retire Azure RemoteApp. Based on customer feedback and market dynamics, Microsoft  changed its’ strategy to focus more on the cloud platform that underpins finished desktop and application virtualization services. Currently in development, Xenapp Express is promised to be the “fastest and easiest way to deliver apps in the cloud”.

New trials and purchases of Azure RemoteApp are no longer available as of now. Existing paid customers actively using Azure RemoteApp can use the service until August 2017, so that they can migrate with minimal business disruption.
